What it does

Everything your water season needs, in one calm place.

Aqualume Depth turns scattered notes and half-remembered sessions into a structured training record — swim, open water, dive practice, sites, and gear.

01

Track your sessions

Start pool, open water, or dive practice and keep water time and underwater time in one clean logbook. Quick Log for fast entries, charts for weekly insights.

02

Train with focus

Breath focus, skill drills, buddy checks, and a simple weekly plan. Surface-interval and water-budget helpers are educational aids — verify with your agency tables and dive computer.

03

Academy depth pathway

Modules, lessons, drills, quizzes, flashcards, and decision scenarios toward instructor readiness — with readiness broken down by module.

04

USA sites map

Browse swim- and dive-friendly places across the United States. Filter by difficulty, favorites, and visits. Season-fit notes and skill-match suggestions tied to Academy progress.

05

Gear Lab

Vulnerability Finder for used gear, buy comparisons, maintenance tracking, packing lists, rinse-and-hang care, and an educational weight sketch — a checklist companion, not a certification.

06

Built for real training

Ocean-clear design with Reduce Motion support. Educational companion only — not a dive computer, not medical advice, and not a substitute for certified instruction.

About us

Built for people who keep returning to the water.

Aqualume Depth is an independent swim and dive training companion for iPhone. We built it for athletes who want one steady place to log sessions, follow a depth pathway, explore U.S. sites, and look after gear — without clutter.

Inside the app you track pool and open-water work, dive practice, Academy modules, site visits, and gear care rituals. Your logs, favorites, quiz scores, and plans stay on your device.

Aqualume Depth is an educational companion only. It is not a dive computer, not medical advice, and not a substitute for certified instruction or agency standards. Aqualume Depth is not affiliated with any dive certification agency, equipment manufacturer, or site operator. Site notes and weather snippets are for planning convenience — always verify local rules and conditions before you go.

Privacy policy

Your training records stay on your device.

Aqualume Depth is designed around local storage. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not sell your personal information.

Effective date: August 12, 2026 · Last updated: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Aqualume Depth (the “Application”) handles information when you use our swim and dive training companion app. The Application is provided by Yaroslav Fedak (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

Information We Collect

Aqualume Depth does not require an account, sign-up, or login. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number inside the app. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

  • Completed and active session logs (water time, underwater time, notes, feeling scores)
  • Site favorites, visits, and day plans you create
  • Academy progress (lessons, drills, quiz scores, study preferences)
  • Owned gear items, maintenance dates, packing checks, and vulnerability reports you save
  • App preferences such as water goals, units, and onboarding state

Location

If you allow Location (When In Use), the app may use coordinates for a site you select to request nearby weather conditions. You can decline location access and still use the rest of the Application.

HealthKit

Health access is optional. If you grant it, the app may use HealthKit only to enrich session summaries. Declining HealthKit does not block core features. Health data is handled by Apple’s frameworks on your device; we do not operate a server that receives your Health records.

Third-Party Services

To show approximate conditions near a selected site, the Application may request public forecast data from Open-Meteo using latitude and longitude. Map views use Apple MapKit. We do not transmit your personal profile, session logs, or gear inventory to these services beyond what is required for the weather request you initiate.

How We Use Information

Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to profile, share, or sell. Features — Current, Sites, Logbook, Academy, and Gear Lab — operate using data stored on your device and bundled educational content shipped with the app.

Data Storage & Retention

Content remains in the app’s private storage on your device (including optional App Group storage used by the app). There is no cloud sync and no remote backup operated by us. Deleting the app removes associated local data from your device.

Children’s Privacy

The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because personal data is not collected on our servers, the app aligns with COPPA and similar standards for general audiences.

Your Control

You can edit or delete sessions, visits, gear items, and preferences at any time in the app, reset onboarding from Settings, or uninstall the Application to remove stored content from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. The core commitment — local storage, no accounts, no sale of personal data — will not change without clear notice.
